Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT)

AVT is an early intervention programme to help children use the hearing from their hearing aids or cochlear implants to understand speech and learn to talk. During fun, play based sessions, parents learn auditory verbal strategies to support their child's listening, spoken language, thinking and social skills to enable them to participate fully in school alongside their hearing peers.

Teacher of the Deaf Support (TOD)

A Teacher of the Deaf provides support to deaf children, their family and other professionals working with their child. This includes offering advice and training to staff in pre-school settings and schools about the impact of hearing loss, effective use of technology and strategies to support the child in their educational setting.
